Sara Evans has shown the world she was "Born To Fly," but she recently teamed up with co-writer Marcus Hummon and took center stage in the playroom of the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital for a very special audience. Sara performed for the patients as chairperson for the Mercedes Benz sponsored Music City Tennis Invitational (MCTI), which benefits the Children's Development Center at Vanderbilt Hospital. "It's just an amazing thing to be able to make somebody smile, to make these little kids happy," she said. "I always used to pray and ask God to bless my career and then I promised I would give something back whenever I could. So it is truly rewarding. I'm really glad I could be a part of it."

The MCTI is one of the oldest music supported tennis tournaments in the nation. Sara's trademark smile and vocal style held the young and enthusiastic audience rapt to her tunes, as well as some of the doctors trading in their stethoscopes for a few dance steps - much to the delight of their wide eyed patients! However, you won't find the top tune on any sound scan chart. It was the three-round version of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" that demanded an encore.
