Here goes..I mean, anything goes???

What exactly does that mean anyway?...Want to tell you about this recent trip to LA .........so ..Yes, I am still here, and have another week, but so far it has been chock full of wonderment, believe me...

The first night here I went to the Pantages Theatre and saw the LION KING.. what a beautiful Art Deco theatre and of course the production was everything it was touted to be..a must see for everyone...

I want to tell you about this place called KULAKS WOODSHED in North Hollywood...It is a funky little rather bohemian place in Laurel Canyon, where there are songwriters nights.. everyone gets-up..you never know what and who you will see!!!

In January I was in town........ my girlfriend singers Soraya and Erin and I went to the Monday night showcase and did a few songs... Later, I was approached by Clay ( the man who runs Monday night songwriters night). He asked if I would like a spot to showcase my material...

April 1st... I was set to showcase! As the time approached I was trying to find a great guitar player who could really get a handle on my stuff.. a few phone calls..and was introduced to Geoff Pearlman..(geoffpearlman.com). It was a five song showcase and the first time I had brought my originals and performed them in the LA area....

Kulaks Woodshed is a tiny little room with candles lit everwhere..and the furnishings are garage chic. VERY FUN!!! The gentleman who owns it is Paul Kulak..really is a labor of love for this guy..he has created an environment for artists to stretch and it is always free..just a donation.
