It was Hollywood Royalty strutting their stuff durng the red carpet arrivals at the 77th Annual Academy Awards on ABC recently, with the whole world watching to see who wore what and who. This year, Hollywood’s most glamorous divas, princesses and queens dressed the part, showing off daring décolletage, backless gowns, and the oh-so-regal trailing train. The very-slim Rene Zellweger’s raspberry gown featured a white-lace trimmed hem so long it was hard to imagine how she was able to even walk. Another notable trend this year – BLUE in all its hues. Also, BLACK was very much in evidence, on gowns worn by several of the most-watched Princesses, including Drew Barrymore, Kirsten Dunst, and Beyonce among others.

This years top looks were ultra-sophisticated and simple, featuring rich, luxurious fabrics and dramatic styling instead of last year’s bling. For the moment, the classic look of Hollywood glamour is back. Below are Dishmag’s choices for top Oscar style for 2005!
